A few months ago we started collecting funds to provide shoes for some of the very needy children in Patzutzun, Guatemala. These are the children that we help to provide food for 3 times a week. Our goal was to have shoes for all of the children for Christmas.

Thanks to some very generous donations we were able purchase about 200 pairs of crocs. Many people sacrificed in order to give. One family got their children involved and saved all month in order to be able to contribute. We want to especially thank Vernon and Shirley Gilbert for their generous donation!
On December 27th Nehemias delivered the shoes! What a fun time for everyone! The children and parents alike were delighted as he passed out new shoes for all of the children and some of the adults.
Levi is planning to leave for Guatemala on Friday. He is taking 135 Bibles donated by Vernon and Shirley Gilbert. We will have pictures of Bible distribution soon!
